Baby Love

It's been a while since there has been a little tiny baby in my family. That all changed July 2nd! My cousin had another little baby boy. Alexander is such a little peanut. I could hold him and snuggle with him all day. Some of the photos feature baby shower cookies I did for a "snow-themed" shower and the blue onesies are from my cousin's shower this past June. Somebody please have a girl...all I have done are baby boy cookies!

Ian turns 4!

My nephew turned 4 this past April. And once again, I don't get how time has passed and how big he is! He sure is an adorable little guy. Ian lives in Minnesota, so Ryan and I traveled up there to celebrate him turning 4! And what kind of aunt would I be if I didn't bring him cookies! Ian had his party at House of Bounce and I think the adults had just as much of a blast as the kids did. Happy Birthday, Ian! Hope you had a great one, buddy!

Happy Birthday, Jeremy!

My little Bubba turned 5 in March! I can't believe he's 5 now! He's such a little man. This year he was all about the Star Wars. His cookies were quite a challenge. I've never had to free-hand Darth Vader before! He loved them and that's all that matters!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Adeia!

Our friends little girl turned 2 in March! I can't believe how big she is! Addie has to be one of the cutest, smartest and funniest little kids out there! For her 1st birthday I made her cookies. This year I decided to make her a cake. And it was sewious! She loves Wonder Pets, so I couldn't resist to do a cake for her! She loved it for the design, and the adults loved it for the taste, so overall that's all I could ask for!

Playing Catch Up!

I know, I know. It's been months since I've put anything up here. Prepare for a picture blitz of cookies and cakes that I've worked on for the past 6 months. Enjoy!

Everyone LOVES cookies!

Hey guys! My apologizes for not posting anything since last year! I have spent the holidays being a very little busy baker to say the least! Hope everyone is having a fantastic 2009 so far! Now that January is over, it's time to start icing the town red! Valentine's Day is just round the corner and you know the saying, "The way a man's heart is through his stomach". Well being married to my husband for over two years now, I have discovered that it is very true. What a better way to tell that special someone in your life, "I Love You" than by giving them a sweet treat from The Baker E? Ladies, the man in your life won't thank you enough for thinking of him and ordering him up some cookies! Everyone loves cookies! Which reminds me...if you are a guy reading this, do yourself a favor and surprise that lovely girl or yours with some personalized cookies! Sure those heart-shaped chocolate boxes that you buy at the corner drug store are great and all, but if you really want to wow her, show up at her door with a one of a kind cookies from The Baker E!
Now Valentine's Day isn't just for lovers! Consider ordering and personalizing some cookies for your bff, neighbors, classmates, brownie troop, family members...the possiblities are endless! Cookies make the perfect treat to bring in to your child's class! I garuantee your kid will be the most popular kid that day! Just think about it: while everyone else is passing out those little rectangular Valentine's Day cards (which are very cute, but not edible!) your son or daughter could be passing out deliciously decorated homemade cookies! For sure to be a crowd-pleaser! Keep your eye out for a few new Valentine's Day cookie designs later this week: "The Love Bird and "Bee Mine" Bumble Bees!

XOXO,
The Baker E

Time Out!

With a heck of a baseball season for both Chicago teams (although...GO CUBS!), football season in full force, and the kids back and ready in action to play whatever sport they may be playing this year, I thought it would only be appropriate to share with you all some of my favorite sports related cookies and photos! They make great gifts for the team anytime, but especially as the season winds down. Coaches love them too! Also, keep in mind that all the cookies you see on my page can be used for just about any party or event! Sports cookies are always great for birthdays! Keep your eyes out for some fun fall festive cookies on my blog coming soon!
